Football Camp: Ayden had a great time at football camp again this year! He got an award for the "Best Receiver" in his age group.
Splash Park: We always enjoy the water on a hot day!
Ayden and Butch: Cute best buds resting in the shade!
Blue Angels: We were able to go to an airshow and see the Blue Angels. It was loud and awesome!
Softball Tournament Fun: Ayden had a great time being the dunk tank guy and playing on the slip and slide while Mom and Dad played in a charity softball tournament.
Huckleberries: A yearly tradition of purple hands! Yum!
AUGUST!
Pool Time: Hanging out at the pool in Salmon with our softball family.
Chopsticks: Ayden thinks it is fun to use chopsticks when eating Chinese food. But he hasn't really mastered the technique.
County Fair: We enjoyed some rides at the County Fair. And, we had a little scare when Ayden flipped upside down on the swing ride. He was a trooper and held on for all he was worth until the attendant got the ride shut down. Yikes! And, he still wanted to ride the same ride again! Brave kid! He was disappointed with the ride the second time though and thought it was quite boring when it didn't flip him upside down!
Family Photos: We had some family photos with Mandy's family and celebrated Grandma Susie's birthday.
Celebrate Youth: Ayden had a great time at the Back to School Party in the Park. There was an obstacle course, many games, carousel rides, mechanical bull rides, water from the fire truck, and much more.
Softball: Mandy and James wrapped up the summer softball season with a league championship.
Science Experiment?: Ayden decided to see if a cardboard box would work as a boat in his kiddie pool. It made for a good laugh.
The Eclipse: We were able to experience a total solar eclipse on August 21! It was AMAZING! We experienced TOTALITY in our backyard!
Back to School Night: Ayden was excited to show us his cool playground tricks at back to school night.
Helping Grandpa: Ayden helped Grandpa clean his truck. He loves spending time with Dad and Grandpa at work.
Butch: We can't forget our favorite pet! Butch gets so excited to see us, he jumps up and down - we call him a kangaroo dog!
School Spirit - Dress Up Days: Mom and Ayden had dress up days for Spirit Week. Mom = Pajama Day (not pictured), Tropical Day, Western Day, Character Day, and Red/White/Gray Day. Ayden = Pajama Day (not pictured), Crazy Hair Day (he wanted his hair painted), Super Hero Day, Cowboy Day, and Red/White/Gray Day.
September 1st!
Homecoming: The last day of spirit week was Homecoming Day. We enjoyed the parade and the school spirit it brings!
Jeff Foxworthy: We missed the Homecoming football game for the first time in... forever?! Homecoming was super early this year and we already had tickets to see Jeff Foxworthy at the State Fair before we realized the conflict. But, we definitely had a great time laughing and eating fair food - like Mandy's favorite - raspberry cheesecake brownie on a stick.
