Fall Fun - 2016 Edition (Part 1)

FISHING WITH DAD:

Ayden and James took a long road trip to fish for Steelhead.  They might not have caught the "big" one this time, but they enjoyed the river, the scenery, and the day anyway.

(While the boys were fishing, Mandy was coaching her JV Volleyball team and they were district CHAMPS!  So she was okay with missing out on fishing this time.)

KINDERGARTEN:

Ayden is enjoying Kindergarten and is learning soooooo much!  He knows most of his letters and numbers up to 10.  He loves his teacher.

Ayden had a program at school called "Muffins with Mom."  The kids made chef hats, then made muffins, then sang a song with rhythm sticks for the Moms.  Afterwards, they got to eat the muffins.  It was a fun time.

FLAG FOOTBALL WAS A BLAST:

Ayden improved so much and had so much fun during his first flag football season.  He scored a couple touchdowns and had a 2 point conversion.  He pulled several flags of his opponents.  And, he might have made a tackle or two (don't tell the refs...).  All in all, he had a great time.

We had so much fun watching Ayden play football!!  SO ENTERTAINING!
From making catches, to hiking the ball, to pulling flags, to the occasional/accidental tackle,
and even to a dog pile from time to time; it was great!

Above is Ayden and cousin/buddy Kruze.  They enjoyed playing against each other.

The cute Ravens team and one of their two great coaches!

Ayden had plenty of support!  Grandparents, Cousins, Aunts,
Uncles, Friends, and of course Mom and Dad came to his games.

Ayden has been pretty obsessed with football ever since the season ended.  His cousin gave him a set of hand-me-down football pads that he wears and plays in almost daily.  He is excited for playing "tackle" football instead of flag football.  He asks us often how much longer until he is old enough for tackle football. "You have 3 more seasons of flag football buddy!"  That doesn't stop him from practicing in his pads and begging Dad, cousins, and Uncles to tackle him.  He also plays catch with Dad every night, running the ball across the living room, and tackling himself into the couch on the other side - over and over and over again... Ayden also has a habit of giving a play by play of what he just did.  "Mom, did you see that?  I caught the ball like this, then I was running like this, then I went over here and dove like this, and the ball did this, and then I was like this..."

HOMECOMING 2016:

Our entire school district celebrates the high school's Homecoming week.  So, Ayden celebrated with dress up days at his elementary school and Mandy had dress up days at the her school as well.  We had pajama day, sports day, dress like the teacher day, hero day, and school spirit day.

For hero day, Ayden said he wanted to dress like Dad.  It was stressful for Ayden and Mom trying to make the face whiskers look right, but here is what we ended up with.  Lol.

On school spirit day, Ayden's school got to go on a field trip to the Homecoming Parade.  Mom's school got to go too, so Mom found Ayden and his class.  Later that night, we all went to the Homecoming game... which our team won 56-0!!

STRAW MAZE:

We went to the straw maze with some cousins.  It is always a fun fall activity.

There was a bus hidden inside of the maze.  Ayden pretended to be our driver.
Sometimes the cousins had to paper-rock-scissors to decide which way to go next.

Also at the maze were some slides and giant tractor tires to play in.
