Fall Fun 2015 (And the end of summer... because we are behind as usual.)

Fall has been great!  It stayed warm a lot longer than usual it seems.  But, winter is knocking on the door. Brrrrrr!  But, bring on the snow!!  We will find ways to have fun!

November Leaves:

Playing in the leaves at Grandpa and Grandma Munns'!

Halloween:

Ayden was Indominus Rex from the new Jurrasic World movie. But he also really loved the T-Rex mask... So, since his mom LOVES Halloween so much, she let him have both!  SPOILED!  Ayden really got into character in the costume creeping around with dino-claws and growling.  It was quite hilarious!  He had a good time with all of the Halloween activities we did (and we did a lot!).  But, if someone were to mistake him for a dragon - watch out! Those were fighting words!  One would hear "I am NOT A DRAGON!" if they mistook him.  After which he was not interested in you or your Trick or Treat candy anymore.  Haha!

Halloween Carnival.

Trick or Treating - Dad as Tonto, Mom as a weird looking Devil, Ayden as Indominus.
Carnivore - Indominus eating a dinosaur chicken nugget.

Mandy's Halloween costume that she wore to school.

Vampire - Dinosaur??

 Carving pumpkins at Grandma Susie's.

Mandy's birthday present - handcrafted by James!  The most awesome entertainment center!

Bear World:
We were able to take a curator tour and feed the bears!  It was awesome!

There were also rides, a petting zoo, and spud-chucking (sling-shot shooting potatoes).
And, we found the cutest little bear cub.

STRAW MAZE:

Mountain Adventure:

Win - Win!  Mom got some photos, Dad and Ayden (and cousin Blaine) got in some pine-chicken hunting.

After the day hunting, Dad helped Ayden to practice shooting skeet.

Fun, Fun, Fun:
Bowling, Pizza, and Arcade!

Homecoming:

Parade Float with Mom and the Volleyball team!

First day of Preschool 2015:

Such a big boy now!

Baking zucchini bread with Grandma Munns:

Ayden was excited to learn to crack eggs with Grandma!

 State Fair!

 County Fair:

The County Fair this year had water slides and pools.
And, Mexican crazy corn which Ayden is wearing on his face.

Just a boy and his dog!

Ayden and his sidekick Butch.

Extended Family Fun:
This is Ayden with his second cousin LJ.  They were instant best friends at the family reunion.  They asked the face painting girls to paint them camouflage.  Little did any of us know that the paint would take some serious scrubbing to get off... but at least the kids enjoyed it for a little while.
LJ's uncle has this awesome pony and buggy.  Ayden and the other kids had a great
time riding around the farm.  They even spooked some deer out of the yard.

Our Softball Family:

Our softball team is like family to us.  Everyone's kids play together
every game and tournament.  Great friends!  Great memories!

Go Karts, Bumper Boats, and Mini Golf:

Ayden drove around the race track at least 10 times before we left.  HE LOVED IT!
While playing mini-golf, Ayden liked to hit his ball into the water hazard... just so he could dip it out.
Have we ever mentioned that this kid is a magnet to water??

Bike Rides:

We went on MANY bike rides this summer and early fall.  To the diner down the road
for fries and ice cream, to Grandma's house, or just around the neighborhood or driveway.

These photos were all taken on the greenbelt of the Snake River.  We rode our bikes and walked the greenbelt.  It was beautiful to look at the falls and the Temple.
Car Wash:
Ayden thought washing the car was the funnest thing ever!

 MUDDY:

Multiple times during the summer, Ayden could be found playing in mud.
He even jumped in a mud puddle first thing in the morning in his pajamas one day!
Crazy kid!

 Camping in the Backyard:

We pitched a tent and camped in our backyard.
Notice the kiddie pool... James says our hotel/resort included a state of the art swimming facility next door.

Jackson Hole, WY:
We spent a day in Jackson Hole.  Ayden made a pretty cute little bank robber.  Watch out Billy the Kid!

Harvest:
We picked raspberries and peas from our garden, among other things.  We also made a trip to the mountains to pick huckleberries.

Hunting:
Ayden has quite the imagination.  Here he was hunting imaginary animals in our backyard.

Swimming:

We just couldn't get enough swimming this summer.  Boy are we missing all of this swimming fun now that the weather is cooler!

Phew!  That will be all for this time!
We plan to make another update next week for Ayden's 5th birthday!
Until then,
Love to all who follow our story!
