The Goat....

     Our neighbors have a goat that wanders around from time to time.  The goat has decided to torment us. 

     It started with the goat showing up in our garage one night awhile back.   We found it amusing how he made himself at home there.  Diesel wasn't so sure of him, and they had a showdown.

     The next goat sighting was on our back porch.  It was late one night, and his glowing eyes and black body looking in our back door may, or may not, have startled us a bit.

     Then, one morning Mandy was shuffling her things out to her car to head to work.  She turned around to find the goat standing on the rug - inside the house!!  After chasing the goat around the couches and living room, out the door, and out of the garage, she was late to work. 

      This week, while clearing out our garden, the goat showed up.  He helped himself to some fresh onions and carrots, nibbled on the raspberry bushes, and headed for the strawberries.  Mandy yelled at him and chased him trying to save the last of the berries.  Diesel took this as his cue to help.  He proceeded to chase the goat around the yard and barn, around and around, making circles.... funny sight to see!!

 

     Since then, the goat has been sighted nibbling on the crab-apples off the tree and wandering in our yard.  Diesel has become quite a good watch dog and chases the goat back to his own house.

     So, how do you deal with a nuisance goat?  We laugh and take pictures - but, REALLY??!!
